HOW IT ALL STARTED

At Perfect Fit Cycles, we’re on a mission to make cycling accessible and comfortable for people with dwarfism.
Our journey began in 2016, when we started to realize that finding a bike for our son with dwarfism seemed impossible. One ill-suited bike after another frustrated him and us.
As avid cyclists, we know that cycling brings delight, freedom, the great outdoors, physical & mental health, opportunities to create memories with loved ones… We believe these opportunities should never be out of reach.
So, driven by love and a determination to provide a better solution for little people nationwide, we combined our cycling passion with insights from fellow members of the Little People of America community. Perfect Fit Cycles was born.
We proudly bring you the Lightning e-bike – the world’s only e-bike designed from the ground up specifically for people with dwarfism. It features:
-a unique ultra-low step-through frame for safe mounting
-shortened cranks, both for inseam fit and to prevent strain on knees and hips
-adjustable seat height
-adjustable handlebar height for healthy posture
-unique adjustable handlebar angles to fit your unique reach and prevent back strain
-hydraulic brakes, to give the most sensitive and reliable stopping power available, for confidence with any grip strength
